Biografia

Al Fadhil is a Swiss artist of Iraqi origins. He lives in Balerna in the Canton of Ticino.

He was born in Iraq in 1955. In 1977, he graduated from the Institute of Fine Art in Baghdad. He began his art practice in the early 1980s, after studying at the Academy of Fine Art in Florence (Italy). The use of diverse media characterizes his work and openly moves between the production of paintings, objects, photographs, videos, and performances.

Al Fadhil has participated in individual and group exhibitions and international events.
